The Hokies are visiting Nashville on August 31st to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores at First Bank Stadium. Game time is set for 11am CST. The Middle TN VT Alumni Chapter will have a tailgate behind the stadium in the Holiday Inn parking lot. (2613 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203) It will likely start at 8 or 8:30am. We will have a few tents for shade, some fans, a few chairs and cornhole. There might be some other surprises.
The tailgate is BYOB and there will also be a cash bar. You can bring your own food or there is breakfast “to go” that will be available from the hotel restaurant as well as coffee and pastries at the coffee bar. We are asking anyone who attends to make a donation to our Middle TN VT Scholarship fund. Cash, check, venmo accepted at the tailgate. (Did you know it costs $50K per year to attend VT as an out-of-state student? Let’s help as many students as we can!)
